Master storyteller Shiraz Saini had a wonderful interactive storytelling session today at the Library as part of the Winter Mania workshop. Winter Tales was the theme along with focus on poetry recitation. Stories from a beautiful book available at the library called Winter's Tales by Lari Don was used to share stories from around the world. The Icy polar bear..a Norwegian folk tale The Spiders Web..a German and Ukrainian folk tale and last a story from Ladakh about winter time. We recited two poems ..by Kenn Nesbitt and Jack Prelutsky. The session concluded with a vocabulary recap and art expression activity where the kids created a new animal using a mix of two animals from the stories and poems.
