n the concluding day of National Library Week and United Nations Universal Children’s Day (20th November), the T. S. Central State Library organised a Poetry Recitation competition for visually challenged children at Institute for Blind, Chandigarh. Children from Class 1 to 11 took part in the competition. Some of the children recited self composed poems on books and libraries. It was heartening to see the talent in the children. Children were also told about the services and facilities for them at the Library. About 150 children took pledge not to waste food, water or electricity and to keep their surroundings clean.
